Our Apogee Dripping Springs micro high school is embarking on a one-of-a-kind learning experience at Mountain Gateway—a mission-driven organization right here in Dripping Springs. This is not your typical field trip. It’s an immersion into the power of answering a calling, tackling real-world problems, and understanding what it means to create a mission-driven initiative.

Why This Matters
At Apogee, our Shark Tank session challenges students to think like entrepreneurs.

We ask three driving questions:
What problem do I see?
Who has this problem?
How do I solve it?

Mountain Gateway is a living, breathing example of mission-driven leadership. Their work—dedicated to equipping people to serve, lead, and impact lives—is a masterclass in answering these questions with bold action and unwavering conviction.

What to Expect:

- Meet the Mountain Gateway team and hear their stories.
- Go behind the scenes of a nonprofit mission-based organization.
- Interactive discussions on solving real-world problems through leadership, service, and faith.
- Insight into their transformative Wilderness Intensives, which are week-long backpacking expeditions designed to foster spiritual growth, leadership skills, and resilience. These intensives challenge participants to eliminate distractions and focus on personal transformation, embodying the principles of identifying problems, understanding who is affected, and developing solutions.
